Over the holidays I decided to learn how to play The Great Escape after recently discovering Patrick Watson’s music. I had the pleasure of attending his concert in Toronto in November ’11. It was the most amazing show I’ve ever been to… I was completely blown away.
There’s something about this song that makes me feel like I’m on a 3 minute and 7 second vacation from the rest of my world.
If you enjoy this song, I highly recommend you check out Patrick Watson’s music. He’s amazing, in my humble opinion. For those of you who are already fans, I sincerely apologize for the lyric mistakes! Hehe… I did the vocals in one take and didn’t want to redo the various parts that I messed up because the vibe of the track felt so perfect. They’re subtle mistakes – please forgive. : )
